The photonic disruptor dose not give a jolt of any kind to the victim. I know in the post I made it sound like it literally packs a punch to the victim, but it only empares the victims vision for a few seconds.
Here is a video that best shows how it can be used by law enforcement. Future Weapons

A Summery to the Laser Article
Apparently, the Photonic Laser doesn't really give a jolt or literally pack a punch to the victim. It merly just makes their vision impared for a few seconds. This gives law enforcement enough time to get the upper hand of a particular situation.

Online Back-up Services
As the necessity of having an Internet connection increases, it is not surprissing how many services are offered for online users. One of the services is an online file back-up accounts. I am sure you have come across ones such as photobucket.com or snapfish.com for picture storage and mozy.com for free data back-up (2 gigs). When you create your own account to which you store your data or pictures is quite safe security wise. I know on photobucket.com that once you upload your pictures you are sharing them with the world. Anyone can go to photobucket and search or browse the database of pictures. That is the only downside to photobucket.
The Internet is definately an advocate of these services. It also brings out community based software or open source software communities. Linux destributions are a big part of what open source is all about. The best part about open source software is that it s free, at least most of it is free. Because of the many linux operating systems out there Mandriva and Ubuntu have now created the first online data storage for linux distrobutions. Since I have not used either online back-up system, I can't say whether they are both secure for personal data. The link "online data storage for linux distrobutions" is an article about the linux based online data storage and there are some comments in regards to the security of using the back-up system.
I can say that Mandriva and Ubuntu are the two easist linux distrobutions I have ever used for a linux os. I prefer Ubuntu over Mandriva for the linux newbie. If you have any questions in regard to Ubuntu and it compatability click here. If you have any further questions about linux feel free to e-mail me or go to the ubuntu forums.

Laser Pointers That Pack A Punch
Wicked Lasers has announced their new product called Photonic Disruptor, which has been featured on Discovery Channel’s “Future Weapons” and is said to overwhelm a targets vision, but without permanent damage. Just think if a teacher used one of these babies in the class room... I don't think the students in that teacher's class room would cause to much trouble and they might all pay attention too. Suposedly these gadgets can only be sold to law enforcement and military only. Although, the link to the article says these laser weapons are available for purchase online for a hefty price.

LCD Keyboard NICE!
I am sure a lot of the techie geeks out there have already heard about this keyboard. Although, I think it is a sweet looking keyboard not to mention the cool features it has for playing games and for certain applications. You can customize some of the buttons on this baby for the layout of the keyboard. Your customize layouts are stored on an SD memory stick. It does need its own power adapter and connects to your PC via USB I believe.
Anyways! You should check it out for yourself. It is a pretty sweet little gadget but kinda on the expensive side. Hopefully, the price will go down considering the economy really sucks right now. But here is the web site for you to check it out and drool over.
